WHAT TO EXPECT/SCHEDULE:

❤ FRIDAY 7/25 ❤
Cocktails out together at a bar (low-key early evening, come if you’re able; location Bar Lurçat) to mingle & relax as guests get into town. Note: due to location & vibe, this is the one event that won’t be kid-appropriate.
The location we choose will have a kitchen too in case you want to have supper as well.
❤ SATURDAY 7/26 ❤
Wedding ceremony in the afternoon followed by drinks and dinner party, then and dancing & celebrating, all at the pond-side backyard of Melanie’s parents’ home. ~5 miles from downtown Minneapolis.
ATTIRE: “summer-snazzy” is enthusiastically encouraged! …think fetching femmes & dapper gents with “personality” in your look but, most of all, do “you” and don’t worry about stuffy.
Comfort Tips:
✪ Ceremony will be on the grassy lawn and the rest will be on the large deck.
✪Kiddos welcome; inside the house will be available for quieter breaks/naps.
✪ Full supper (vegetarian too) will be served, so come hungry & save room for cake!
✪ It’s a private home so we can keep on deck-dancing ‘til the wee hours if we wish!
✪ Foul weather plan: fingers crossed… BUT we’ll all fit indoors if needed.
❤ SUNDAY 7/27 ❤
Lunch picnic for all wedding guests at a park pavilion, a block down from the wedding location (Melanie’s parents’ home). 
Comfort Tips:
✪The park pavilion is covered and in a generally shaded area; Melanie’s parents’ home, down the block, will be available to retreat to A/C if needed.
✪ For the kiddos: It’s in a residential area (nearly no traffic) with a playground immediately adjacent as well as paved trails and a large pond (restrooms on site).
Mid-afternoon the picnic will transform into a ♫♫Set dance céilí with traditional Irish folk band ♫♫ playing the tunes.
“Céilí” is Irish for social gathering/social dance. We met through our shared interest in set dancing and our dancing friends will be joining us for this part of the festivities. ALL are welcome to dance, but don’t worry: NO one is expected to dance. Those who don’t dance will enjoy the spectacle, the ♫live tunes♫, and the park setting with a pint of Irish beer in hand just as much!
